Service Description

Each year, during HACU’s Stride to Serve event, with support from our community and friends, we assemble care kits either for Sickle Cell or Cancer patients in Sierra Leone. This year, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we are unable to meet in person for our fitness, awareness and service activity so we are taking it virtual and hope you can join us. For this years event, Marjo Bona will lead two Cocorobics dance sessions which everyone (young and old, male and female) can enjoy. Princess Warrior, Margaret Cassell will share with us what it is like to live with Sickle Cell in Sierra Leone and Jeannette Robinson-Chaytor, RN, BSN, will share great insight about the disease and some tips on how we can support our friends and family who have Sickle Cell Disease. The zoom link will be sent to the email you use to register on the day of the event.
